Tom Brady Responds to Viral Buccaneers Failed Trick Play

Tampa Bay attempted a daring trick play in the third quarter of their game against the Seattle Seahawks in Munich, Germany, in which running back Leonard Fournette lined up as the quarterback and attempted to throw a deep pass to receiver Tom Brady, who was lined up as receiver against Tariq Woolen. Some may ask why attempt this at all, but earlier in the game they lined up in this same formation and they left Tom Brady unguarded. Seemingly Byron Leftwich and the Buccaneers play-callers saw a potential for a big play. Unfortunately, quite the opposite happened. In one of the most bizarre plays we have seen in a while, the ball is snapped to Fournette and he looks Brady's way, however the grass which players had been having an issue staying upright on caught underneath Brady's feet and caused him to slip. When he fell, Fournette had already gone to through the ball, and there was nothing they could do. Tariq Woolen easily grabs it and notches his 6th pick of the season.

This is what Brady had to say after the game: "Unfortunately that corner is a former college receiver who jumps a lot higher than me and is much more athletic," "I was hoping to be wide open, they said, 'Cover him, cover him!' and I was near the sideline and I tried to yell, 'Lenny, no!' but it was too late. Brady also replied to the viral clip on twitter commenting that if he hadn't slipped he would have taken it for 6 like Randy Moss.

I'm sure Woolen as a rookie was potentially looking to get a pick on Brady, but maybe not like this...
